New Particulars Surface Regarding the Discovery of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

New information has come to light regarding the shocking deaths of renowned film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

The Discovery

As detailed in an account citing a confidential source, a therapist scheduled for an session was the first to notice something was wrong after not being able to enter the house. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Proceedings

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, including the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently detained and is ineligible for bail.

Clarifications

The confidential informant also disputed several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Furthermore refuted widely reported claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "apprehensive" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction includes accounts of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the tragedy. Although the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they said that claims of a "major confrontation" between the two were not correct.

Investigation Timeline

As stated by law enforcement sources, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports indicated the condition of their bodies implied they had been deceased for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had not received medical clearance and would not appear until no sooner than Wednesday.
