Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions
The Gunners' 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, but can the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, readers and a range of guests.
For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Family Life
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football side," he added.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My father coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
It suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's forecast: 1-2
The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' only away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was previously Forest coach.
So, what exactly do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be quite tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
Fulham have have plenty of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League season so far.
The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not seen any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.
However I am not do that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
