In a unexpected crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the official statement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome changes echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Extra Material
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
